Welcome to Artifice
Artifice is a lovely place when in civilized holds and among your fellow mortals, but dangerous at all other times. You will be faced with peculiar behaviors, strange paradoxes and mature themes and be ready for some creeping dread. Expect high-fantasy mixed with magical technologies and a growing sense of unease. You may find yourself following plot threads to some great discovery. Or you might bumble around until something happens. Your call.
It is highly advisable that the group of characters selects a "captain" or "tactician" figure for the team. The captain may change, but keep in mind that you'll need one. This will facilitate a much more high-octane style of combat where movement occurs all at once and actions are taken in order of initiative. It may be advisable to allow your captain to control your team's movements as you may face squads of enemies or complex terrain as many warzones can be found across the land.
To get us started it is suggested to look over the wiki and familiarize yourself with your race and the various countries as this will heavily impact your interactions, who you could meet and what kind of ultimate secret you discover. Note that at the beginning of the campaign all information in the wiki is considered "Common" or public knowledge. Things any commonfolk might know or have known.
