Keatu (ˈkē-at-ˈtü)
The God of Darkness
A god fallen deep in darkness and lured by lies, is unusually monstrous, with black skin, shoulder length, rippling black hair, and eyes the color of red flames. He is very short and very slender, and looks somewhat malicious. He usually wears worn, ragged clothing dyed brown.
He is also associated with loss of innocence and daydreams. He is rarely worshiped by women. His small numbers of followers can be primarily distinguished by the way they conduct themselves. There are a miniscule statues of him in some villages though many don't know who for. There are many myths involving his adventures with Neaer. He is the son of Ceayr. He is known to sometimes hinder charismatic mortals.
Prior to his current state, he had chance of innocence, being a man who was often lofty in dreams and want. After his fall and rise as a god he has condemned those who remind him of the woman who lured him into her web, invoking shadows and evil. Greedy, selfish, manipulative, striding amongst darkness, most who follow him are those horribly scorn and experienced a sudden loss of their childhood or innocence early on in life, and join to wallow in darkness. Like their god they forsake dreams for immediate satisfaction and greed while attempting to avoid or lessen consequence. His statues are his eyes.
