Morydal
On the northern edge of the desert continent of Duva, a harsh and desolate land serves as the home for a collection of clans all struggling to survive. After generations of conflict over limited resources, a tenuous truce was founded between the clans that controlled the major resources of the region, eventually forming a loose government to ensure conflicts were handled in a peaceful manner. Now, a long centralized population lives one the shores of the only year-round river in the region with roving clans venturing out to gather resources to trade for the food grown on the river's shore. The main export from the nation is the gems, jewels, and Shard mined from the mountains that border the region. Those that are exceptionally adventurous travel through the Crevasse to the south and into the Sandsea, a vast baren land of sand dunes that roll back and forth with the winds, repeatedly unburying and reburying ruins of a long-lost civilization. "Islands" of rock rise above the shifting sands, offering rare relief from the ever-changing landscape and the predators that prowl it.
