Azra Kesari (Awe(s) • RUH / CAA • Sorr • EE)

The Azra Kesari is the most revered animal in Dykuma, cherished greatly they are the greatest symbol of power Dykuma has to offer. But, the Azra Kesari are different. Most animals that symbolize power are innately powerful and strong with the strength to demand reverence. The Azra Kesari are no different, they can fight with the best of them and win, but so can the Draconius and even the Kitsune have the ability to completely defeat a person with strength alone. No, what makes the Azra Kesari so special is their intelligence, they strive for knowledge and inspired the Dykumics to do so as well. The Azra Kesari inspired the Dykumic Scholars. Dykuma reveres them for their knowledge and intelligence. They are a symbol that power comes from wisdom as it does from strength.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

The Azra Kesari are not only incredibly intelligent but they are extremely powerful as well. Each individual Azra Kesari is gifted with an ability related to the element Earth: These abilities make the Azra Kesari very powerful and able to protect themselves. The Azra Kesari are non-violent meaning they will not outright attack someone/thing but that does not mean they will not protect themselves. The Azra Kesari pride themselves on their intelligence and thirst for knowledge, most will spend their entire life studying and training their gift while still going on with other research and their lives.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Poachers (usually the stupid, naïve, and unknowledgeable of the importance of Azra Kesari in Dykumic) will sometimes come to kill the Azra Kesari for their beautiful high quality and soft coats. Sometimes they succeed and Dykuma mourns the loss, most times they don't and are branded a trailer to the realm and banished never to set foot on Dykuma again.   Some Azra Kesari become Guardian Beasts in which they enter a contract with a library owned by Dykumic scholars and both protect the library from threats and trade knowledge with the Scholars. In return, the Azra Kesari receive new knowledge and the protection of the Library.   Other Azra Kesari become bonded beasts where they tie their heart strands with a Dykumic scholar in a commitment of protection, companionship, and knowledge. The bonus of the bond is the fact that both the Azra Kesari and the scholar who are in a bond get to help each other train and become immensely better with the Azra Kesari earth ability and the Dykumic spellcasting. It is very rare that an Azra Kesari enters into a bond with a scholar, as they are not tied to the scholar and have a responsibility to follow and protect them, and even rarer with a normal Dykumic scholar (that is almost unheard of with only three cases known to scholars). If one does encounter a bonded Azra Kesari this means that the scholar is either really powerful and knowledgable and/or they have experienced something great that causes the relationship between them and their bonded to reach bounds in which bonding became a viable option. A bonded Azra Kesari is extremely powerful with their ability and a their bonded Dykumic is extremely strong as well.

Average Intelligence

The Azra Kesari is one of the most intelligent and wise species in the Realms, wiser than most if not all Armonesian in the Realms. Most can hold up against and even win in an intelligent battle against the Kitsune. They are held in high regard with Dykumics because of the level of knowledge, wisdom, and intellect they have. Most are in a guardianship contract with Dykumic libraries and a very few are in bonds with Dykumic scholars.
