Kitsune

The Kitsune is basically like the animal incarnation of Fred and George Weasley. Kitsunes are wickedly intelligent and ridiculously clever, yet their intellect is used for pranks and tricks. The Kitsune literally have the intelligence and ability to cause mass destruction or chaos and/or take over the Realms. Instead of infiltration, corruption, and manipulation, the Kitsune use their abilities and intellect to cause harmless, non-viscous, and fun pranks.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Every Kitsune is gifted with a magical ability they must train in order to achieve tails and become better at pranks. The most common powers (include but are not exclusive to):
  • Illusions
  • Telekinesis
  • Hypnosis
  • Gravity
  • Frequencies

Genetics and Reproduction

Kitsune are monogamous and mate for life, a Kitsune baby is called a Kit. Kits are really hard to conceive and even harder to bring to term and birth, they are extremely weak and Kitsune are prone to miscarriages due to the fragility of the kit. A Kitsune pair are lucky if they are able to have one kit. The average Kit is usually born once every 20 to 50 years. The struggles is not done once they are born, a kit will be very fragile a susceptible to illness or other ailments that may lead to their death the first two years of their life. Because of the rarity in kits conception, birth, and survival past two, kits are very rare and precious.

Kits

The Kitsunes are extremely protective of their kits. They will do everything in their power (including the sacrifice of themselves and/or anyone else in their way) to avenge, rescue, and/or protect/defend a kit (whether their own or not). If you kidnap or capture a kit you have basically signed your own death warrant. If you harm, threaten, or do anything potentially harmful towards a kit you've signed a death warrant. It is not only extremely looked down upon and taboo to do anything to a kit, but it is also highly recommended to do nothing harmful for fear of your safety and life. If you do make the mistake of harming or kidnapping a kit no one will help you escape the wrath of the Kitsune. If you save or befriend a Kit you will become an ally of the Kitsune.

Growth Rate & Stages

The tails of a Kitsune come with a combination of power and age. The Kitsune is born with its very first tail and the second comes around the age of ten or eleven. The third tail comes around the ages of 50 and 55, the stronger the kitsune the earlier the tail. The following six tails will continue to appear until the death of the Kitsune. These six last tails have to do with the strength of the kitsune and their ability along with wisdom. *Nine tails are almost completely unheard of due to the difficult attainability of not only the ninth tail but the two tails that come before it. Because of this difficulty, nine-tailed Kitsune are to be treated with complete and utter respect, you will not win against one.*
