Tolanjı

God of Birdfolk, Avians, the Sky

Tolanjı (tohl-LAHN-juh) is a god of nature, presiding over the sky, and is associated with autumn. They are patron of all of bird-kind, from those most simple of beasts to the feathered folk who build civilizations, such as the aarakocra and kenku. From their lofty vantage, Tolanjı sees a great deal of what transpires below and has accumulated vast knowledge. They are mercurial with this privilege, sharing it as a benefactor some times, and other times teaching lessons or playing pranks. Fana-Li is said to be a rival of Tolanjı, but Tolanjı responds to queries about this with mockery that in fact all other beasts - not just felines - are beneath them and their avian children.   When Tolanjı is depicted in a humanoid form, which is rare, they are depicted as an aarakocra, kenku, or other birdfolk. Most, however, know and depict Tolanjı as a hawk.   Clerics of Tolanjı have been noted displaying the power of the Domains of Nature, Knowledge, and Trickery.
