The Golden Isles

The Golden Isles are located on the southern coast of the Eregothian mainland. Hundreds of different islands exist between Medici, Inmar, and Blake territory. The region is packed with ships who seek riches in the profitable trading lanes between Eregoth and Keldan. All captains who sail in the isles make sure to pay their dues to avoid the attention of the pirates. One way to avoid this is swearing to house Medici, who are rumored to control the pirate captains. Many of the large islands close to Dolothea are controlled by mayors connected to the Medici.
Contro An active port city located on a large island, Contro is a haven for those fleeing the Inmar. The city has recently adjusted to their return to freedom after a tense occupation by vampires. Many citizens of Contro have taken up the fight against their oppressors, swearing vengeance on house Inmar. A silver dragon was seen around the island after the liberation.
Gracia A charming and well developed island, Gracia is a known destination for Medici political minds for retirement. The connection to Dolothea is very strong and the Mayor is almost certainly under direct scrutiny from the family. Gracia is a hotbed for active politics and contains a lot of old money.
Ferra A small city island in the north east of the isles, Ferra is very wealthy for its size. The city is overseen by Mayor Sofia de Medici. Ferra has a dark past, it was known for dealing in slaves during times of the Eregothian slave trade. The town, led by the mayor, recently has rebuked that reputation and are striving to maintain the business of legal trade. Their proximity to the east coast of Eregoth made them a trading powerhouse. Pirates flock to the town as well, drawn by smuggling runs out of the sea caves to the north.
Catria Catria is a ruined town, a decimated community that suffered massive casualties when a ship bombarded the buildings with cannonfire. The town is run by the prior admiral of the Medici navy, Fiore Medici. The Norstiri soldiers who once occupied the town under Dallas are now refugees.
Elta Not much is known about the rocky reefs of Elta. A strange group of fishfolk live there and repair ships occasionally. There are little to no structures on the island itself but a group of seals call the island home.
