Ringmaster Saffi Sarrasani (a.k.a. The Whirling Wonder)

The founding and current ringmaster of The Sarrasani Circus. This mysterious and fantastical woman leads a campaign of interesting individuals across the lands of Keldan to bring joy to the masses alongside aid those in need.

Slim and well built for a woman her age. She isn't known to be terribly fast or strong, but she is healthy.

Apparel & Accessories

Always dressed as if ready to preform, keeping herself clean generally through the aid of magic. When in the spotlight as Ringmaster, she wears a pair of pants and high, dark leather boots, a purple vest and coat with golden accents, and her large, gold encrusted scimitar. When helping out around camp or during travel she can typically be seen wearing a simple pair of trousers and boots, and a simple blouse still in fine condition.

Personal history

Having been born on the rivers of the Fey Pact-Lands to adventurers Jabari and Gita Sarrasani in 1889, Saffi grew up in a world of exploration, treasure, and danger. Her parents tried to settle, but found it hard to keep the curious Saffi contained, always wanting to run off and explore. They would raise her to protect and handle herself in this dangerous world, teaching in ways they seemed best. Her mother Gita was a warlock to the Queen of Summer, and her father Jabari is a skilled diviner. Saffi gravitated toward magic under the tutelage of her parents, and spent a large portion of her time along side her mother in the Fey Courts, seeking additional training in her musical pursuits. She would become a noteworthy bard in this time, accompanying and singing the praises of the Sarrasani family's adventures. Unfortunately Gita would pass away in 1909 due to a sudden fever that none could break. After her mother's death, Saffi was unsure of where she and her father who had also fallen ill would go. She would spend the next year adventuring on her own and with strangers from time to time, until early 1910 when she would strike it rich. In the year following her mother's passing, she would start the Sarrasani Circus with her father and several close associates at the time.

Education

Home schooled in magics from her parents, musically self taught but overseen by the Queen of Summer's court minstrel.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Having started the circus with her father, she would largely take on the leadership roll and allow her father time to heal. She has been at the center of major festivals across Keldan, and has served the roll of hero on more than several occasions. Her bards as well as others across Keldan speak of her times saving the Waldenoak family from a large barn fire, rescuing and escorting the displaced Clan Rakankrak to a new and safe future, all with the help of her circus right behind her.

Failures & Embarrassments

She feel's that she failed to save her mother from her fever. She sees that her successful treatment of her father as a failing to save her mother in time.

Morality & Philosophy

Individuals should be given a fair, happy, and bright life. They should be able to choose their own path, where ever it may guide them. People should have a family, whether it be friends, colleagues, or a troupe.
