Mayor Gaakto Zovi
Gaakto Zovi is the Mayor of The Blue City. He is a light-green skinned Half Orc standing at 6 feet tall, somewhere in his mid-50s but not stooped by age. He typically dresses in a very professional manner; however, current circumstances and work load are forcing him to focus more on function rather than form, resulting in a very slightly disheveled appearance. Typically very approachable and professional, two weeks of disaster recovery has stretched his patience and his wits a bit. He can most commonly be found in the Parc at the city center, directing work, relief and search-and-rescue efforts. His office was not damaged by the tsunami, but he insists on being seen by his constituents as a center of calm and order in a newly-inflicted world of chaos.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Gaakto stands tall despite his advanced (for a Half Orc) age. The muscle of youth has long since become the midriff of wisdom as the extent of Gaakto's physical activity has been spent walking to and from his family holdings and his office in the Old Rock (central) ring of The Blue City. Most recently, however, Gaakto's stress levels and physical activities have increased sharply due to his tireless efforts to help The Blue City recover from the tsunami. Obvious to those who know him, Gaatko has lost some weight. By his pallor, he has also lost a lot of sleep.
Apparel & Accessories
Gaakto dresses very nicely and professionally as befits a proud and upright mayor of the Blue City. His outfits are almost all shades of dark blue (outer wear), white (shirts, socks, etc.), and yellow trim/piping (precise shade of Yellow Wood). Gaakto does have a single rough-work outfit, colored entirely yellow, functioning as camouflage for work conducted within The Golden Forest.

Accomplishments & Achievements
Aside from his marriage and the birth of his child, Gaakto has two particular achievements of which he is especially proud.
As a very young man, while on an expedition into The Golden Forest, Gaakto saved a playmate’s life. At great risk to himself, tapping into a pool of courage he did not realize he had, Gaakto rescued his friend from certain death at the clutches of a group of Corpse Flowers. His friend, Gardain Daerdahk (male Dwarf, commoner), has never forgotten Gaakto’s bravery, and has sworn a life debt to Gaakto. Gardain has worked very hard to become Gaakto’s aide de camp, performing extremely well in this capacity.
On a separate occasion some years later, Gaakto befriended Elaim Strakelm (dwarf monk lvl 10 male, stat block?). Elaim has not remained in The Blue City, but he does remain in contact with Gaakto, passing through town at least once each month to catch up and offer his services.
Failures & Embarrassments
Gaakto has made many mistakes in life, especially in his early days as Mayor. But he has always seen mistakes as learning opportunities. However, sometimes other participants of a mistake see them as obligations for revenge.
Two such individuals, Valanthe (rogue lvl 12 firbolg female, stat block?) and Radomir (human rogue lvl 10 male, stat block?), have very recently taken a severe disliking to Gaakto. With the tsunami mere minutes away, these adventurers’ party sought refuge in the Old Rock ring of The Blue City. As their party raced into town, they were literally paces away from shelter when the doors slammed closed. Valanthe and Radomir were the only two party members to survive, and they blame Gaakto, certain he is directly responsible for their loss.
Mental Trauma
Gaakto had previously enjoyed a relatively trauma-free life. In the aftermath of the tsunami, the massive mortality rate is weighing very heavily on him, most especially with his mother and younger sister still missing after two weeks. The well-being of the rest of his family is a balm on his soul, allowing him to throw himself into disaster recovery efforts. However, The Blue City will eventually achieve its new normality, and Gaakto will be forced to deal with the emotional trauma he has thus far packed away. A second metaphorical tsunami is in Gaakto’s future whether he chooses to acknowledge it or not.
