Blackwater

A sleepy lumber town can be found nestled into the space between the Nightwood and the foot of Valen Maru Mountains. Blackwater takes its name from a small permanently frozen lake located nearby. The town is governed from afar by the Jarl of Redrock and supplies their community with labor and lumber. An old war veteran named Vagner was appointed to the mayor's office by the Jarl in order to look after the hundred or so folk that call Blackwater home. The religious folk in town worship Iros under the preaching of Father Isaac, a mysterious miracle worker. The town carries a heavy anti-tiefling sentiment after the Eregoth vs Keldan war, spread by the mayor and Father Isaac. The wilderness outside of town hides ancient Sylvan ruins that contain historical trinkets that may be valuable to some. Recently there has been a disturbance in the peace after a Tiefling named Costner came to the settlement. More and more travelers are arriving via a strange coach with a peculiar driver.
