Svend Jorunson

Jarl of the Scylfing tribe and de-facto ruler of Högasun. By 1778, Svend had ruled as Jarl for 25 years since winning the title at the Althing following the death of Thorun "The Unready" (some say at his hands). He was fiercely loyal to the tribe and his people, and took the duties of the Jarl seriously, but often longed to be living in the heydays of the Vikingr, raiding and pillaging across the north and slaying monsters. When the fabulous few came seeking information about the giants in the mountains, he hosted the adventurers and pointed them towards where his scouts had spotted the giants in the world's end mountains.
When they returned from the jotun pit, he pledged warriors and supplies (after some convincing) to their efforts to follow the giant Birgir into Svartalfheimr and stop his plot.
Jarl Jorunson continued to support the fabulous few against the giants in the north. He came to Khazad-Nogaak to try to convince the king to support them, and organized the efforts to prepare Hogasun for the final confrontation with Birgir and his army.
He was murdered before the battle began by a mysterious adventurer from Dragonwatch. The murderer fled using a scroll of teleportation.
