THE CORONATION OF KING FRIDERIC (fri-de-ric)

Purpose

The Coronation of the King was created to pass around throughout the Kingdom to announce to everyone the coronation of the soon-to-be Sarton King Frideric, who would succeed his father as the new king. The people of Sarton are called to attend to witness the crowning of their new king, and give their pledges of loyalty to him. Attendance is mandatory upon this document being read aloud or announced via Echo Shards.

The Coronation of the King is currently stored in the Sarton Royal Archives, serving as official record of the event taking place. It is available to the public at any time, although only a few even bother to request access to a copy.

Background

The Coronation of the King follows the passing of Frideric’s father, who died of natural causes 8 days earlier. The Sarton Court quickly acted on Viceory Iram’s orders to prepare the kingdom for the crowning of Frideric, while he attend to the heir of the throne as he was grieving his father’s passing.

THE CORONATION OF KING FRIDERIC

To all people of the beloved Sarton Kingdom,

It is with solemn words that I, Viceroy Iram, must announce that our beloved King Culoris has passed from this world. His burial ceremony shall be attended to at a later time. We, the people of Sarton, must prepare for the crowning of the new king. Prince Frideric, the beloved son of Culoris, shall soon be crowned the new King of Sarton in several days time.

The Coronation of King Frideric shall be held in the the capital city of Shaulen, and all denizens of the Kingdom are hereby requiredd to attend by royal decree. All business or other activities not related to the coronation shall cease until the new king is crowned. No exceptions shall be made for anyone unless they were already away from the nation in such a time. Any foreigners who do not wish to attend may do so, but must leave the capital until the coronation is completed. Anyone found conducting business without proper exemption shall be punished for defiance of the royal decree after the coronation.

Prince Frideric, once crowned, shall take a royal tour of the Kingdom to greet the people. Many people have expressed their love for the prince for his willingness to see to the people’s well-being, and he looks forward to continuing as your new king.
