Overview
The Moreh/Moreh are individuals who have been imbued with innate preternatural affinity, empowering them to perform exploits of power that are impossible by natural means. Moreh/Morah are found throughout most of the lands of Shonria, primarily noted to be commonly found in the nations of Gershom & Astoria. Moreh/Morah are the fierce rivals to all mages (including warlocks/witches), are well-known for their staunch opposition to the magical arts, and for their faith in an powerful Godhead.   Etymology
The terms Moreh/Morah originates in the Habiru language, spoken by the tribes of Gershom before being found in other lands. The term is defined as “Sage” with the Moreh denoting a male Sage, while Morah describes a female Sage. While the term Sage can describe a person of wisdom (or Chakham in Habiru), these terms point to individuals who are blessed with supernatural power via their Archos.
    CAPABILITIES OF MOREH/MORAH
Moreh/Morah are capable of astounding feats of power due to the presence of their Archos, which is both a power and realm unique to each individual. The Archos of each Moreh/Morah enables them to wield an array of powers, according to the desires and nature of said wielder. A Moreh/Morah can further increase the powers within their Archos by training in dimensions of refuge, and by entering special times of fasting.
The Archos of each Moreh/Morah also grants them preternatural attributes to their bodies, allowing them to do physical feats that would be impossible even for the most physically fit man or beast to do.
  Preternatural Attributes:
  • Preternatural Affinity: All Moreh/Morah have an strong affinity for the preternatural, gifted upon them the moment they manifest their signs of being called. They are able to move among the matters of the divine as much as an normal person goes on about their daily business. This affinity is quite common among the Moreh/Morah, apart of their overall nature as empowered individuals.
  • Supernatural perception & awareness: Moreh/Morah possess supernatural awareness that allows them to be aware of many things, and gain deeper understanding of various things. The depth of this supernatural awareness varies on each individual. Moreh/Morah possess supernatural perception that allow them to sense other living beings, as to determine their abilities. They can even tell what supernatural influences are occurred within their range, regardless of their nature and origin. They can even sense the presence of non-organic beings. They also can see supernatural beings that normally would be invisible.
  • Preternatural Durability: All Moreh/Morah have varying degrees of preternatural durability that enables them to withstand harm that would easily kill normal beings, with stronger members quite capable to taking incredibly devastating attacks without suffering any harm. The level of durability for each individual Moreh/Morah is variable according to their power level, as their durability grows as they become more powerful.
  • Preternatural Resistance: All Moreh/Morah possess variable levels of resistance to all kinds of damage, as they can push back against varying sources of harm that comes at them. Their resistance kicks upon their durability being severely tested, further aiding them with each situation. The amount of resistance each Moreh/Morah has depends on their overall power.
  • Preternatural Resilience: All Moreh/Morah have innate supernatural resilience enabling them to continue on despite any damage that taken from different sources. This resilience increases as the individual in question grows in power, granting them more resilience against growing threats.
  • Preternatural Fortitude (Spirit/Soul): The essence of all Moreh/Morah (aka their spirits and souls) have higher fortitude than their normal kin, enabling them to withstand any damage that affect a person’s spirit and soul. This is effectively an form of spirit and soul resistance, allowing them to have resistance against spiritual-based and soul-based harm to their essence.
  • Preternatural Healing & Restoration: Despite their great resilience, it is possible to cause injury to Moreh/Morah. However, they are capable of recovering from injuries with supernatural speed and efficiency. All Moreh/Morah are resistant to all known diseases and infections. Moreh/Morah have the ability to restore any damage that has been done, even if it was not done by them. This restoration depends upon the supply of power they have within.
  • Flight: Moreh/Morah have the power to fly without being bound to the natural laws of physics, although not all learn to fly immediately. Moreh/Morah can hover, maneuver, and fly in ways that would be impossible by natural means. Once mastered, Moreh/Morah can fly at will.
    Disciplines of Power
Moreh/Morah also have access to the different disciplines of power (also called paths) that are apart of the many things that Archos provides. These disciplines are made to teach each Moreh/Morah how to harness the power sets that their individual Archos provides, as no one Archos gives the same powers to their wielder. The paths do grow and evolve as more revelation-knowledge about Archos is gained.
Due to these disciplines of power been established, each Moreh/Morah can choose which to undertake according to whatever their Archos manifests within their very being. From there, each individual Moreh/Morah must master everything related to the path(s) of power they are manifesting. These are the currently known Disciplines of Power, although among the Moreh/Morah are hints of more to the revealed.
  • Path of Energy: Moreh/Morah have the power to generate & manipulate energy of various types at will. Dynami can project energy for a wide array for effects, which they generate due to their supernaturally-blessed nature via their Archos.
  • Path of the Elements: Moreh/Morah are able to generate elemental-based effects according to their mastery of said power, and take command over any elemental-based phenomena as well.
  • Path of The Primalist: Moreh/Morah can generate & project the power of primal forces such as light, sound, and spatial phenomena. They generate effects related to said primal force at will, and use it to fulfill whatever they have on their agenda.
  • Path of Essence (Spirit): Moreh/Morah who take this path become capable of generating phenomena of the Spirit & Soul. This path is called Essence in reference to the essence of a being. The effects that Moreh/Morah can do from this path often revolves around mending the soul, restoring the spirit, removal of effects from a person’s essence, among other things.
  • Path of Holistic (Body/Natural): Moreh/Morah of this path learn to harness their Archos to affect the realm of the body, and the natural realm as well. They have the power to reverse damage done to the body, provide healing, affect any natural environment, etc.
  • Path of Realms (Reality/Time/Dimensions): Moreh/Morah who undertake this path possess the power related to temporal (time), dimensions, realms, and reality. This path allows them to generate phenomena based on them, including creating portals, dispelling magic, etc

Career

Qualifications

In order for an individual to become an Moreh/Morah, the first sign must be an revealing of their Archos at some point in their lives (either in early childhood or later life). This revealing will be sensed by another Moreh/Morah who will be informed via divine revelation. The selected candidate will be called to join an holy assembly of fellow Moreh/Morah, learning what they are called to do and about their gift. The candidate will also study more about the faith in the Godhead, and the connection their Archos has to their faith.
Once the candidate finishes their discipleship, he or she will be given a year-long testing period to enable to grow into their calling. Once this period has been completed, the full-fledged Moreh/Morah will be translated into a state of shining in light for a brief moment before the particular assembly. This serves as affirmation of their full growth as an Moreh/Morah.
Moreh/Morah must be either Human, Adakin, Saura, Felid, or Ursidia. No other kind are allowed nor will be chosen for the calling.

Perception

Social Status

Moreh/Morah are often very much honored and respected throughout most of Shonria, seen as the arbiters of preternatural affairs by many people and organizations. Among the Tribes of Gershom, Moreh/Morah are the go-to people for issues related to preternatural occurrences. They are notable residents of the famed River Cities, working alongside the Zethamites to guard the three Marpe Waters that flow throughout Gershom.
They also occupy seats of power within the High Government of Gershom, with one representative being an Moreh/Morah of great reputation.
They enjoy an similar status in the Kingdom of Astoria, as the Astoriam Moreh/Morah (or simply Astorian Sages) were vital to the formation of the Nobligarde.
In the other nations, the social status of Moreh/Morah varies more based on the nation in question. The Kingdom Of Sarton has a very tense view of them, due to the influence of the Sarton Magi who despise Moreh/Morah.

Assemblies
Moreh/Morah often will meet together in groups called Assemblies, or gatherings of fellow Sages who meet for fellowship and worship. Within these Assemblies, they will share revelation-knowledge with each other to enrich the vast pool of information among them. They will also teach this knowledge to non-Sages freely, so long as the people in question are not mages of any kind. Such individuals will be chased out immediately or subdued if they are proven hostile. The size of each Assembly can vary to small groups or large established organizations.
