The land of Coruscare in North-Western
Revros is a territory long plagued by war, famine, and disease. Never quite recovering from both the ravages of
The Cataclysm and the later arcane bombardment from
King Andrias, it has long been a war-torn swampland under the splintered occupation of various warlords and fanatics. Its swamps with dense forests represent some of the darkest and mysterious facets of Western Arkos, and many dark fairy tales and fables told to misbehaving children across Western Arkos owe their origin to Coruscare.
In the depopulated wastes of Coruscare one often runs across armed men of all stripes - mercenaries, former bitter soldiers from the
Crescent Empire and
Oreion Inquisition, marauders, and common bandits. With Coruscare's various War Lords constantly fighting for more territory in the wastes, there are few individuals that choose to travel to Coruscare; and a great number that wish to escape it. The fairy tales and fables stemming from the land also seem to be much more real than many might believe, as a land filled with the darkness of men's hearts is sure to give birth to creatures of even greater darkness...
