Orellian Empire
Located on the Southeastern Corner of Everdawn, The Orellian Empire was formed from what was Armitan City of Shackton in the long-dead Armitage Empire.
History
When the Empire fell, then Lord Governor of Shackton and its surrounding territory, Lord Morton Orelious, declared Shackton the Capital of his new empire. Claiming that his family were distant relatives to the last living Emperor (though no real proof of such a relationship has been found outside his Empire even to this day), Emperor Morton declared that his empire would be the Armitage Empire reborn in all but name. To a certain degree, He did not lie. To this day, The Orellian Empire shares some of the same administrative structure and economic models that Armitage did. It even modeled its Military into the same structure as the Armian Legions.
In the time since its founding, The Empire has grown from a small city province to a large empire spanning hundreds of miles of territory. Using the pretense that as the rightful heirs to the Old Empire, The Orellian emperors and empresses have claimed that all it's former territories are their's by right and should submit to their rule. Any that refused or resisted were brought to heel by the Orellians Legions. Naturally, this form of conquest and imposed rule has caused much civil unrest in the Empire's conquered territories. However, The Empire's Judicatory branch have been effective in snuffing out any discontent, and any planned revolt or large scale unrest has been brought down by Legions before it could ever organize.
In recent years, the Empire's conquest have stalled as it's borders have now reached those of the more powerful and better established Kingdoms and Goverments of today's Everdawn. Make no mistake though, the Empire has not lost it's ambition and, should any of its neighbors show weakness, will attack without mercy.
