Amekasi

On the continent, Anicarta lies a huge rock formation. This rock formation is called Amekasi. It is located in the northeast part of Anicarta. As you approach Amekasi through a thick forest all you see are several tall rock spires sticking out of the surrounding forest. As you near the spires you reach a huge clearing that is the start of Amekasi. There is a rock wall with many colors of reds, yellow, white, and mixes of all three. There is an arch in the wall that is an entrance. Walking inside you find a maze of walls, arches, spires, and cliffs. It is all surrounded by the outer rock wall in a blob shape. Inside Amekasi a temple has been built. This temple which has been built into many different rock shapes is a place of pilgrimage for many of the regions of Anicarta. No one is sure who originally built the temple. Those that study such things are unsure if this temple was a group effort by several of the different religions or if it was from an older religion that has since split into other religions. Those that make the pilgrimage to Amekasi say that it was built by their god or gods depending on the religion.   While many of those on Amekasi who visit are there on pilgrimage, many others throughout history have visited. Artists, poets, and historians from all over the world have come to Amekasi for their own reasons and have spread the word and image of Amekasi. Because of this Amekasi has become the symbol for Anicarta in many other countries and continents. It is the most visited place on Anicarta which has made some religious leaders want to limit who can visit Amekasi. Unfortunately, Amekasi is also a disputed area of at least three different governing bodies. As of right now, there is a treaty that is keeping the peace. A conference will be held in a few years by the three governing bodies to address the concerns that have been brought up. However, no one expects much change in the governance of Amekasi.
