Citadel Arcanum

The premiere center of magical study in the Vortorrian Empire is the Citadel Arcanum. There, under the watchful eye of the Council of Five and its representatives, mages train in the proper technique of magical prowess. Several lesser citadels for magical study exist throughout the empire as well. The Citadels are the only church-approved method of being trained in magic and each is under the headmastership of a High Mage Ecclesiarch.
Located on an island in Serpentstail Bay in Jorva, only the brightest and most promising mages are allowed entry into its hallowed halls. They also boast a top-notch fencing team, which has won 9 of the last 10 championships.
