LTL Director
As a personal side project, I sometimes try to prove that the orignation of the term "mad 'alchemist" was coined to describe whoever first discovered Theeksfur. Sadly, I think that history was lost with The Queen's Royal Library.
The Director of a Licensed Technoalchemical Lab is the ultimate authority over everything and everyone in and around the facility. This includes safety, infastructure, logistics, quality of life, and continued education of the entire populace under their administration, which may be as many as 1,000 people, depending on the size of the facility.

Qualifications
The qualifications required to apply as the Director of any LTL facility are extensive, and have been laid out by the Inter-island Theeksfur Council to ensure the safe production, containment, storage, and transportation of theeksfur, as well as the health and happiness of all the people in their charge.
In order to submit a request to be allowed to apply for the position, a prospective applicant must demonstrate:
- 15+ years of basic education.
- 5+ years of specialized training in: Technoalchemy
- 5+ years of personnel management experience
- 5+ years of logistics experience
In addition, all prospective applicants must complete a complete physical, psychological, and emotional evaluation prior to requesting application.
As it takes a minimum of 25 years to acquire the requisite skills and knowledge to even apply for the job, it is unusual to see anyone under the age of 40 in this role, and impossible for anyone under the age of 30 to even apply.
Career Progression
Once an applicant has been accepted as a director, they will spend their first year in additional training, almost all of which deals with what to do when something goes wrong, including extensive training on the emergency self destruct apparatus and procedure.
