Material (Orichalcum)
Properties
Material Characteristics
Orichalcum is a bright golden metal that can be confused with gold by the uneducated. When compared to Gold the difference becomes stark, Orichalcum is like a ray of the sun that has become hardened into a metal.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Orichalcum is very warm to the touch lending credence to the idea that it is a metalized part of the sun. The metal is incredibly durable making it very good for weapons and armor. The metal is resistant to most forms of damage including acid in its purest form. Transforming it into a weapon, armor e.t.c weakens it a bit, but it is still very formidable. Orichalcum is nearly impossible to enchant as the metal seemingly rejects any form of arcane magic.
Geology & Geography
Orichalcum can be mined deep within certain volcanos. The intense heat from a volcano can superheat gold if the gold is pure enough its will transform into Orichalcum. Some wizards have attempted to artificially create Orichalcum to disastrous results.
