The stone is a deep crimson that is nearly the same color as blood. That shines when the light hits it just right.

Bloodstone stays the temperature of its surroundings, cannot be set on fire or melted in acid. Bloodstone can be crushed into a fine powder. When sprinkled upon an item it can increase the effectiveness of any magical enchantment.

Geology & Geography

Bloodstone can only be located on the continent of Azoth with the largest known mine being near the city of Assyria.

History & Usage

Everyday use

Bloodstone can be sprinkled over the top of items increasing its ability to hold an enchantment or increase the effectiveness of already established enchantments.

Refinement

The ideal method of use would be to grind it into a fine powder and sprinkle it over the intended item.
