In the absence of good folk to oppose him, Nymarga set about his life's purpose: immortality. His knowledge, his secrets, his inner circle and even his empire were all mere tools used to attain that ultimate aim. His empire expanded, his power increased, and his followers benefitted as long as they stayed out of his way. During these dark times, the Worm King embarked on what would be called his "labours." The things he would need to achieve his dark aim. Nymarga recovered the First Spear. He forged the Black Orrery. He uncovered the Twin Thrones of the Earth, only to find them empty. Nymarga summoned and defeated the goddess, Hatha the Veiled Sun, with his wits and guile. He summoned and took the twin stars, Ami and Diva, prisoner in exchange for the secrets of Moya the Moon Goddess. He hunted great souls alongside Arma the Primal Goddess of Death. Nymarga built the first bridge from below to enter the Underworld and speak with her father, the King-in-Exile himself. Lastly, and most importantly, Nymarga discovered and conquered all nine of Yhera's Great Temples. Nymarga was poised to ascend under duress. But his designs would nearly all unravel for the efforts of a humiliated rebel...
