Saracovan Uprising
The Saracovan Uprising is a revolt that started in Tide Day, 18th of Growth, 1478. The peasantry of the Sintrian province of Saracova rebelled, with their aim to install their own regional authority and protest Sintria's expansion into Foria and other regions. The revolt sparked a wider phenomenon of popular revolts in the area as similar rebellions broke out. The Saracovan peasants have been quick to coordinate and unify themselves into a functional republic named after the province of the initial uprising.
While the bloodiest conflicts are behind for both nations, the Saracovan peoples' presence still incites unrest in bordering Sintrian provinces, creating additional conflict in the region.
The nation of Foria is nominally a neutral non-participant to this conflict, but supports the Saracovan faction to prolong the conflict and inhibit a resurgence of the Sintrian-Forian War.
The Conflict
Outcome
Saracova has emerged as a de facto independent republic, though the conflict's outcome is undecided and the long-term viability of the state remains in question.
