Reivan Concrete

Reivan concretes and mortars are made from an aggregate mixture that includes Reivan ash. It is incredibly durable, resists fractures from cold temperatures, can withstand moderate earthquakes with only minimal cracking, and is highly resistant to abrasion and erosion. Reivan concrete is also commonly reinforced using bars or internal lattices of Reivan steel, imparting the tensile strength to withstand bombardment and all but the strongest of earthquakes.
Due to the magical properties of Reivan ash, walls constructed of Reivan concrete generate a strong field that severely inhibits magics such as teleportation and scrying.
