Golem's Eye

Building constructs is something any decent mage knows something about, however only a few ever truly master the art. Some who focus on stronger materials and bigger constructs miss the true potential of the craft. Golems created with a true Golems Eye are more akin to living beings than just animated material. The Eye not only allows the creator to see from the Golems perspective but also works as a magical brain. The larger the Eye the more intelligence the Golems can possess, hence the true reason that larger golems were always seen as better.
Golem Eyes are usually fitted into the forehead of the Golem and are impossible to miss. When defeated the Eyes are still active and can give their creator a chance to spy on whoever destroyed their golem.
A small Golem Eye (as shown in the picture) can give a simple golems the intelligence of a (slightly dim) human. The largest ones let a Golem rival dragons and sometimes surpass their creators. However all Golem Eyes impart 100% obedience from the Golems to their creator regardless of the Golems newfound intelligence.
