Lolth (low-th, lawl-th)
The Spider Queen
The evil god of deceit, shadows, and spiders, Lolth weaves a complicated web of schemes and treachery through her worshipers, deceiving allies and enemies alike to gain power. Lolth’s worship is entwined with the society of dark elves, even as the Drow fall ever deeper into the thrall of Tharizdun’s aberrant minions. It is said that the Spider Queen can see through the eyes of all spiders, and that she is truly all-knowing
Realm: Lolth sends forth her corrupting poisons and whispers from her realm of the Demonweb, which is tethered to the Abyss and home to her many spider children.
Depiction: Many icons and idols within dark Elf society show the image of the Spider Queen, a darkly alluring woman of dark purple skin and silver hair, her abdomen swelling into the terrifying body of a monstrous spider.
Enemies: Lolth holds a searing grudge against Thor, for with one toss of his mighty battleaxe Stormbreaker, he impaled her on a mountainside, leaving her Drow armies leaderless during The Scourging. Lolth also shares a burning hatred for Corellon—she claims they drove her children below the earth themselves—and she often manipulates Gruumsh’s followers into attacking Corellon so that the Drow may remain safe. The only being Lolth fears is Tharizdun she dreads its alien mind and is furious over what it's madness is doing to her children.
