Hero of The Morning War, slayer of darkness, leader of the Celestan Empire and the revered and beloved ruler over The Exalted Expanse. Her legendary actions during The Morning War have elevated Celesta to a near deific status and a dissident word against the Divine, is a high offense to the people of her continent. A Half-Elf woman, Celesta traces her bloodline back to the first Elves to come to Ardyn, and she strongly bears all the features of her elven heritage with unparalleled beauty and grace. She is known for her ferocity and unyielding determination as a soldier on the battlefield and by her compassion and empathy as an arbiter in court. Though the decree to instate The Cleansing was at first a controversial one, over time, the people of The Exalted Expanse have seen the wisdom in her fervent duty to protect her subjects no matter the cost and they softened to the decision. Celesta rules from her jeweled throne in The Sanctuary, a sacred temple dedicated to all of the Dawn Deities.
Blossom's Burning Blades discovered that the goddess of magic, Mystra, inhabited the body of the Empress when Celesta was killed after destroying Archmage Vecruth at the end of The Morning War. Celesta is seemingly unaware of who she truly is.
