Sunset Siren Myth in Ardre | World Anvil

Sunset Siren

An ancient goddess of the Rathi, in the Rathlands of Ethel. The Sunset Siren was believed to be a princess of the Hadrash who turned away from them to wed a mortal man. The man became the first king of the Rathi, for the Siren shared with him all the secrets of Hadrashi magic. He grew old and died, passing the Glasstone Crown on to his grandson, but the Sunset Siren lived on. She dwelt just beneath the waves, behind the horizon of Glasbrand, the ancient throne of the Kings of Rath.   Rumors say that statues of the Sunset Siren can still be found amongst the ruins of the Mires of Rath. Far likelier, though, any such treasures would long since have been plundered.   More recently, the Siren has been claimed as the symbol of the Rathites, a large group of outlaws seeking to seize control of the Rathlands.
