Lady Osmelda Beth- Bastion

Thought to be the chief wife of Garach Beth, called Garach Pale Hair. She was almost certainly the mother Bartos, Garach's firstborn son who inherited the chiefdom, thus establishing primogeniture in Revellia.
Lady Osmelda is sometimes confused with Oswyn Icebrand, wizard to Garach and Bartos. This confusion is due solely to a scrap of spell recovered from the chambers by Sanath the Bold, containing the words, "and Osmeld, for none loved the spelt word so great as she." It is possible she was a speller, though the Bastions were quite merciless in their treatment of magic high and low. More likely this was a simple conflation of the two, as both Osmelda and Oswyn were thought to be about the same age, and are believed to have died the same year.
