Mercy the Marked
Wizard Mercian Paddox
Mercy the Marked was a celebrated Wizard at Revelback, serving under Lord Garach Beth, his son Lord Bartos, his son Lord Balor, and his first son Lord Valoron. Today, she is most famous for training Uithael Wonder, who was called away to serve as Wizard to King Redham Ainros. Rosheen Norfall postulates that Uithael may have agreed to serve the king specifically so the wise and respected Mercy might remain at her post under Lord Bartos.
Mercy died during the rebellion of Sabrina Screamer against her brother Lord Nodraigh Beth, which immediately followed the death of their brother Lord Valoron. Even today, it is unclear on whose side she served, with many suggesting she was vital in compelling Sabrina to take arms against her brother, and others insisting she would have remained loyal to Lady Oridwyn, mother to both contestants who was fiercely loyal to her son Nodraigh.
