Lannos

A livestock animal found in Kynaj, principally in Vaina.
Used since ancient times as both mounts and pack animals, these woolly creatures never spread outside of Vaina in great numbers, as all other regions preferred the far faster horses. Vaina shows relatively little conquest in its history, and their reliance on rainbow birds for communication would likewise preclude the necessity for horses, all of which likely serves to explain how the lanno remains the mount and pack animal of choice in most of Vaina. The exception are those provinces that border Monos and especially the Wild North, where conflict is far more common.
