Grey Gut

A stomach infection, sometimes contracted in the bogs of southern Milos. It is characterized by a weakness of the limbs, followed by severe stomach cramps and vomiting, often accompanied by a looseness of the bowels and in rare cases even bleeding from the eyes. From the onset of stomach cramps, Grey Gut typically kills its victims within a fortnight, though a lord of Kelisfield famously clung to life for nearly an entire year before succumbing.
As the name implies, Grey Gut causes a pallid discoloration of the victim's stomach, and leachers have confirmed that one's internal organs suffer a similar discoloration. Sadly, this symptom comes along far too late in the process to prevent death, if death is even preventable.
Grey Gut is rare, but most commonly found in the Rathlands in Ethel. Many have noted that those not native to the region are far likelier to contract the illness. Others have suggested that Grey Gut is emblematic of the evils of the region and its inhabitants.
