Bellis and Naarsia
Bellis and Naarsia are a pair of mythical sisters, whose travels and travails are commonly spoken of in Southern Milos. They are most often described as Leante, though their origins are sometimes altered depending on the teller. Despite their pedestrian nature, the pair often fall into strange supernatural events. There are several tales of them evading Nabas, the Wolf of Night, and a popular story of Naarsia becoming betrothed to Aolroq the Dead King, only to be rescued the night of their wedding by Bellis. Bellis is often ascribed strange powers, and is sometimes said to be the daughter of Belladol, the Host of War, though strangely the same is never said of Naarsia.
Twin sisters are often named after the two, or simply two daughters in families with many children.
