Barrenbrand
The Seat of Clan Grainard in the Northern Mirrors. The Grainards famously held Barrenbrand against Khabarese during the Crusade for nearly a decade before peace was made.
The origin of Barrenbrand's name is a subject of much confusion. Most assume it is simply a corruption of "Bear Brand," with Clan Grainard's sigil being four bears. "Barren" seems an odd choice, considering the clan's name and the fertility of the surrounding hills.
