Worldbuilding Pledge Document Summer Camp 2021

Q1 - WHICH PROJECT ARE YOUR WORLDBUILDING EFFORTS TIED TO?

During this Summer Camp 2021 Challenge, I will be focusing on Project: Ardras, a long time project of mine that I have dedicated 10+ years to its development. This world is being utilitized to create a space from which many stories can be told with a mosaic of characters to explore many different themes including morality, death, history, the nature of reality, magic, and much more. The end goal of this project is to have a rich, lore filled world from which to tell my own story that I have been working on, as well as to provide a fun outlet for others to tell their own stories through.

Q2 - WHICH WORLD ARE YOU WORKING ON?

The world of Ardras, which is a multifacted world with competing ideologies and diverse people groups which celebrates cultural diversity and provides insight to how a realiastically working world operates with the introduction of trade and commerce in addition to cultural exchange.

Q3 - WHICH AREA OF THE WORLD ARE YOU WORKING ON?

Sometimes my ambitions are larger than my eyes, and I'm grateful for the suggestion to narrow down the scope of the project. Largely I will be working on the Aristolia region, as it is currently the most developed in regards to maps and other content. I will try to stay within the empire of Aristolia with the exclusion of a prompt pertaining to specific locales or subjects which appear elsewhere in the world.

Q5 - WHEN WILL YOU WRITE

I am trying to get myself out of the house more this summer and into society. I will be working from the Summermoon Cafe in Austin, TX, they have some great specialty drinks to energize a creative mind! I'm currently transitioning from my day job and supplementary delivery work to work on my world full time. So I'll be working on my articles after I address my day-job related tasks for Broadstreet Consulting, a great digital marketing and web development company! A great way to moderate between personal duty and creative output!

Q6 - WHO IS YOUR SUPPORT NETWORK?

Crafting dreams into reality is a tricky business which involves understanding how magic works. A good way to transfigure your life is to build an amazing support network on individuals and collectives. Here are a few people and businesses that I am grateful for being a part of my life.

World Anvil: None of this would be possible without World Anvil's comprehensive archive and worldbuilding tools! My project has grown so much more than it ever has in the ten years I've been working on it. An amazing team and a great example of how passionate people can come together to create something greater than the sum of its parts!

Favors Delivery App: I wouldn't be making half as much success as I have been by sustaining and supplementing my income through the Favors app, which gives drivers the freedom to work their own hours and take control of their finances. Every day I enjoy working for Favors and making the money I need to fund my project while listening to the music I like and relaxing all the way.

Inkarnate: An amazing tool developed by amazing people! The world of Ardras has been breathed into existence thanks entirely to their tools and long list of assets. The creative work put into this map making program cannot be understated, thanks much to them and their team!

Harry Bogosian: An amazing artist and creator of several great comics that you should read! Harry's work is featured here in several articles for the design for the people groups of Ardras and hopefully more in the future! You can check out his work here at the following links!
