King Namoros Alenyath

When Istishia entered the Plane of Water into the Elemental Incursions, many triton pods continued their eternal war against chaos by following the elementals onto the Material Plane. Among these numbers was the Alenyath pod, led by the young, headstrong Namoros. He saw that the other tritons, so used to living in the deepest reaches of the ocean, were reluctant to venture too close to the surface, so he seized the opportunity and drove his pod higher than any other. Thus, he discovered Azmarin.
The people of Azmarin were hit hard by the Incursions, and Namoros took them under his wing. He and his pod fought off any elementals that came near Azmarin, and within two human generations it was the safest place in all of the Marized Ocean. He became recognized worldwide as a leader of the war against the elementals.
In the year 73 CI, a group of four individuals--The Masters of the Elements--came together from all corners of the globe to stop the Incursions at their source: the primordial leaders of the Elemental Planes. Namoros was chosen to represent the element of water. Over the span of two decades, they developed a ritual to bind the primordials in their respective planes, preventing them from opening any more rifts. Istishia, the King of the Water Elementals, was the last to be bound, which Namoros did using his legendary trident. (The Namoros Trident, Bane of Istishia) That day marked the end of the Elemental Incursions and the beginning of a new era for Arda'aman.
The people of Azmarin were so grateful that they immediately declared him their king, ushering in the Monarchical Era of Azmarin's history. He ruled the city for 127 years before growing grievously ill and, in accordance with triton tradition, dove to the dark recesses of the ocean to spend his final days, leaving the throne to his only son.
Following his death, Namoros' legacy grew until he came to be worshiped like a god in the eyes of Azmarin's citizens. Now, his name can be heard alongside Waukeen's as Azmarin's Twin Protectors.

Physical Description

Body Features

Namoros was tall and powerfully built, with deep blue scales that were more prominent than most tritons and short, vestigial fins protruding from his calves and back. By all accounts, he struck an imposing figure.

Facial Features

He had a long, hawk-like nose and sharp eyes, and his long, seaweed-green hair covered finned ears that ended in tall points.
