The Namoros Trident, Bane of Istishia

Significance

A deceptively plain-looking golden trident with a glistening pearl set into its central fork, this was the weapon used by Namoros Alenyath to defeat the Elemental Incursions and close the rifts to the Elemental Plane of Water. To show their gratitude, the settlers of Azmarin declared him their king. He ruled for over one hundred years before he grew ill and, in accordance with triton custom, disappeared into the depths of the ocean to spend his last days.
This trident, more so than the crown, was symbolic of the Alenyath line’s right to rule the island. After Queen Clarynn stepped down from power, it became the centerpiece of the Azmarin National Museum, there on permanent loan from the Alenyath family as a sign of goodwill. Now, it is only taken out once a year for a ceremony celebrating the end of the Elemental Incursions, and it is still seen as an important reminder of everything the Alenyaths have done for the island.
