Pigeons are a bird associated with Argus the Protector. Their large presence in cities, both feral and domesticated, is seen as a sign of good luck by citizens as the birds keep a watchful eye on the city.

Cream coloured pigeons are particularly prised because of how cool and pretty they are. Iridescent pigeons are also admired for the colours in their feathers that shine in the light.

It is common for pigeons to be praised for their beauty and elegance in works of art and poetry. Distinguished politicans will seek to represent themselves holding a pigeon, and pigeons can frequently be seen in the architecture of temples and palaces built during the age of princes.

In myth and popular beliefs: it was a pigeon sent by Argus that first guided the Danatelians to Arda Almyed, pigeons are often used as bringer of messages between the realm of mortals and gods, there is a story in which a man who fed pigeons every day was once attacked by a group of thieves and the pigeons came to help him and flew him away to safety.

In some places, pigeons are sacrificed with a message in order to communicate with the dead or the gods. This practice was particularly popular in the early years of the Danatelian Lands.

The most notable feature of the pigeons' power is its presence on copper coins minted in the city of Argus the Protector (on one side there is argus, on the other side there is a pigeon).
