LofAA - League of Adventuring Academy.

The League of Adventuring Academy, or LofAA (sounds like Loafer) are a powerful organization that has a role in most, if not all, adventurer's lives. They provide training, advice and a place to stay in some of the bigger cities. In smaller locales, they have arrangements with monasteries or other places where the adventurer's can have a discount on food and accommodation.   Some children nearing adulthood are sent here to apprentice and help out in hopes of earning their place to be trained.   The league offers training and licenses to adventure. And assurances to the public that adventurers will be given strict guidelines about consent and ensuring those in need actually wish for assistance before they sweep in to save the day.   They meet to discuss new issues and provide a place for citizens to raise any issues or concerns about adventurers and the effects they are having on nearby settlements. They can also apply here for adventurers to come and solve issues they have.   Adventurers can rest, find new jobs, train, repair equipment and get healing at cost.

Structure

Trainers for each class. Mother Hen who oversees the victuals and accommodations. The Head of the League who runs the Academy. Guild representatives - come to meetings to discuss new rules coming into effect.

Culture

They train the adventurers and oversee the various adventuring guilds, ensuring they are treating adventurers well and fulfilling their responsibilities.

Public Agenda

Public safety and the safe guarding of adventurers and their ability to adventure.

Assets

Buildings in all major cities, and a few outposts in some larger towns.

History

Adventurers were growing in number and often creating havoc by "helping" people "in need" but actually making the situation worse. It was decided that there should be an adventuring license and some guidelines for those adventurers. Over time they also added some last wishes paperwork, held at the academy or local guild to ensure that fallen or injured adventurers were returned to their families where possible.
