Silver Standard

The Silver Standard is the most widespread and commonly used type of currency in Arceiron.

Common Currency

Silver is commonly accepted as the main form of currency in almost all places of Arceiron.
Even most nations, that do not use the silver standard as their main form of currency, usually accept payment in silver, as it's value is determined by the value of the metal used to make the coin. Another reason for them accepting the currency is the fact that they can easily use it to trade all over the world, whereas their local currency is usually only accepted locally.

The Worth of Silver

One silver coin is the minimum wage a full day of modest labor can earn.
One silver coin is also the cost of living a modest lifestyle for 1 day or hiring a skilled hireling for half a day of work.

Attention: Many values listed in the PHB or other source books need to be adjusted to this standard, when playing in the Arceiron setting. Conversion is done by breaking costs down to their copper value, as this has not changed, and then converting to silver accordingly.
