Khitarian Sandgazer

The Khitarii of the Sandgazer kin are famously known to be a quick and nimble group of people with feline appearances when it comes to mainly their ears and tails, though with slender facial features and somewhat upturned noses.
Their heritage is believed to have come from their old guardian deity Raz'akira. Better known as a wildergod from the feywild realm which had her soul and essence devoured by the great wyrm Nidrhaug during the War of Dragons. Freed from her madness of bringing endless carnage to dragonkind, the Sandgazers brokered an uneasy peace with the dragons before they eventually made their homes in the Golden Dunes as nomads and hunters.
They would live side by side with mankind and the race of elves for centuries to come, before the great war between man and elf started to brew.
Taking the side of the Sylvhar kin, believing them to be their ancient feywild ally, it soon became apparent that their old friends treated them less like hunters and warriors and more so like cannonfodder to be sent on various suicide missions to take out human leaders behind their lines.
With their morale low after suffering heavy casualties and having their villages and tribes now occupied for the assassination of several influential men of honour, the Sandgazers that had been fighting or been captured were now conscripted into the service of the Golden Empire. Ironically, as treated on far more equal terms than before, the tribes slowly started drifting towards joining the empire out of free will.
These Khitarii eventually came to embrace parts of the word of Ysand, as devout believers of the sun already. Believing the human god to be the sun's champion, they embraced a culture of purity and discipline and while rare in comparison to humans, are still overwhelmingly represented in the Inquisition along with a full legion in the Crusade.
