Basic Information
Anatomy
The direcorn looks a lot like a horse, or it's close relative the unicorn, except that instead for a smaller, lithe and agile body, the direcorn is built like a proper warhorse, with hooves the size of logs and a body thick enough that the creature could easily smash through wooden walls, with minimal injuries due to the coarse leathery skin. It's head more closely resembles that of a nightmare steeds though, with the horn arching like the blade of a scythe on a raptor-like mouth and snout etched into a hard enough cranium that it's scalp could withstand the force of a warhammer connecting to it.
Ecology and Habitats
Since the direcorn is pretty much legaly blind, there are few other climates in which it can actually survive. Due to almost every single plant in Floeur being edible by it's ilk, as well as the complete lack of any natural threats in it's habitat, it has stayed within it's local confines and not spread beyond. Naturalists do believe however, that there is a chanse the direcorn may spread to local lands during the comming hundered years, if it learns to use the information from it's horn more thoroughly, like what plants are actually edible and which ones will turn them into a scavengers buffet.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Due to being a gargantuan beast of a horselike animal, the direcorn needs tons of food. Thankfully, there are no shortage of flowers around the area, which it dines on, combined with fruits and other vegetables granted to them by local humans. This animal also eats insects though, as unlike a unicorn it is an omnivore that finds a lot of it's proteins within bugs, hence why they are often kept around farmfields and trained to eat pests rather than herbs.

Domestication
Due to it's mostly fearless manner, as well as calm demeanour shown towards the local residents of Floeur, the direcorn is often used in regiments of elite cavalary, as well as animals to both protect and help around the fields around the marche.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Even though unicorns are known to have impeccable sight and hearing, the direcorn has lost a lot of it's versatility from mutations to the eyes and ears, that are likely caused by the piercing gales of their local habitat. For one, their eyes are covered by a soft lid of skin tissue at all times, giving them a hard time to discern details of their surroundings. In other words, they're half blind. Their hearing is just as bad, due to an extreme growth of hair in their ears, that prevent the wind from harming them.
To counter this lack of sensory skills, the horn of the direcorn is capable of gathering vast amount of energies and using them to scan their surroundings with organic laser. An ability which doesn't just allow them to send pictures to their brain through the horn, for how the landscape looks, but also to grant them a perfect picture of heat signature and movement activity. If a threat is located, the direcorn is capable of challening an extreme potency of this laser, to fire a burning beam straight through it.
