The Guild Courier Hall

Every guildhall in the realm is connected by the legendary Griffin Flyer Network, a vital lifeline for clients seeking swift communication. At the heart of this system are the Griffin Flyers: elite couriers trained to handle mail, parcels, and sensitive job requests while traversing vast distances aboard their loyal griffin mounts. Many of these flyers trained in the past at The Spire, or are veterans of wars across Arcanis.

These flyers are recognized by their distinctive uniforms and griffins. Whether braving storms, evading airborne predators, or navigating treacherous mountain passes, the Griffin Flyers ensure every letter or package reaches its destination.

A Premium Delivery System

The Griffin Flyer Network is a premium service, with costs that rise sharply based on distance and danger. A routine delivery to a nearby guildhall might be affordable for most adventurers, but long or perilous routes demand steep fees, placing the service out of reach for all but the wealthy or desperate. Griffin couriers are also often used for the emergencies—delivering warnings of impending attacks, summoning reinforcements, or transporting critical information across hazardous terrain. For those who can pay the Cost of the Sky, this lifeline can mean the difference between triumph and disaster.

The Couriers

Dressed in long, weather-resistant cloaks adorned with the guild’s sigil, these flyers are the backbone of the operation. Their uniforms are accented with straps and pouches for storing letters and enchanted scroll cases for sensitive messages. They carry a magical ledger that tracks every delivery they’ve handled, providing accountability and security.

These couriers specialize in high-priority or magically sensitive deliveries. Their griffins are often sleek and fast. Rugged and resilient, these couriers brave the harshest conditions. They wear thick leather gear and goggles.

The Hall

Inside every large guild, there is a Courier Hall, an alcove reserved exclusively for Griffin Flyers. A tall map etched into the stone wall charts their routes, glowing with lines of magical light whenever a courier is in transit. Nearby, a large perch holds empty saddlebags and enchanted harnesses, waiting to be restocked for the next journey.

When a Griffin Flyer arrives, the hall is abuzz with activity as letters, packages, and updated job requests are sorted. Each delivery is logged in the Guild Ledger of Dispatches, an enchanted book that allows adventurers to track what has arrived and who sent it.
