Thaumaturgist Clawed Circle

The title that is recorded as only being given to the founders of The Clawed Circle. This title is reserved for Arcanborne who have been recognized for acts of greatness. To the common folk of the Arcan, the Thaumaturgists are to be respected like Sages even though they do not lead in any political capacity and are only guardians that protect them in times of great strife.

Qualifications

To become a Thaumaturgist, one's actions must be recognized as having done a great service to the Arcan, be immeasurably powerful, or create something new.

History

The title of Thaumaturgist only shows in legend referring to the students of The First, but that is a recent invention written in after The Clawed Circle  was elevated to the status of a legitimate order. In actually, the title of Thaumaturgist did not exist until it was given to the founders.

Cultural Significance

The Thauma are seen as highly powerful and knowledge in the studies of magic and known to use their knowledge and power to benefit those around them. Being an Arcan title, to be a Thauma is to be revered by many across all citadels. Outside of the Arcan, the Thauma are often misinterpreted as leaders of the Arcan.
