Scepters are staves that have a different role from those used in stick fighting and martial combat. They are handheld tools used for channeling supportive and healing magic moreso than offensive means. The use them in society is strongly associated with divine faith and many scepter users are religious acolytes and clergy. However it is not a strict requirement as even secular mages have the capacity to use a staff.

The magic of healing scepters work by supplementing and enhancing the natural ability of living bodies to regenerate when wounded, drastically speeding up the healing process. Support scepters are typically used to channel magic that buffs allies or weaken enemies.
