Fire "Element"

Fire (also know as heat in certain regions) is an element in classical thought and primeval magic. Abilities and creatures that command this element usually revolve around heat, producing flames. This is the "element" corresponding to either the plasma state or to heat energy.


History
Fire is a form of light, heat, comfort, and even destruction; a primal force of nature. In the darker places of the Arcane Realm, the Fire element burned its brightest, and this was true for all the elemental effects. It is governed by focused control over breathing and expressed by exhalation. While this ability is active, a Fire attuned creature often trail tendrils of gleaming sheaths of flame as they move through an assault for more devastating attacks.

Perception
Has positive connotations like warmth, light, purification, and even rebirth. On the flip side, it's very, very easy to exaggerate it into an antagonistic element by emphasizing its wild, destructive, and unpredictable nature. Usually associated with the color red, even though actual flame is naturally more orange in color, if not outright gold or yellow.

Manifestation

Heat Manipulation: The core of the fire element lies in control over heat. The capability includes increasing the kinetic energy of atoms and thus making things hotter, altering the flow of energy between atoms themselves. The use of heat often leads to the creation of the element's namesake: fire.

Flame Manipulation: Fire attunement allows user to can generate, shape, and move around fire, the rapid oxidation of a material in the exothermic chemical process of combustion and flames being the visible portion of the fire. Depending on the substances alight, and any impurities outside, the color of the flame and the fire's intensity will be different and users can also completely control the temperature of the fire at will.

Localization

Places noted by primeval scholars and priests to have high amounts of fire attuned magic power tend to be places naturally high in heat such as hot deserts, hot scrublands and places with recent volcanic activity.
