Prince of Escadia

The Prince of Escadia is the individual chosen by the COUNCIL OF ESCADIA to be the head of state.  This typically is a choice between one of the leading houses of the City of Escadia.  
However for the last 200 years the title has rested with the head of the House of Della Mata.  Their business like and practical leadership has allowed all the houses and most others in the City to prosper, and has lead to this long run of elections.

Appointment

Upon the death or removal of a Prince, then the council will elect a successor.
