The Bloodbark Tree grows in a collection of unusual areas: Graveyards, War-zones, mass grave sites, and anywhere else were a lot of bodies are in the ground. No one is really sure why or how be these plants will only grow in these locations and over the years because of this unusual growth Bloodbark tree branches are used in funeral rites the world over.   However the lumber from this tree has another useful property: it is unusually resilient and strong, because of this their lumber is sought throughout the known world to make weapons. Bows, Staves, Crossbows, and even balistas have been made from this rare wood.

Material Characteristics

Bloodbark wood planks are heavier than they appear weighing almost twice that of normal wood planks. They are, as the name suggests, Blood red in color due to the sap's coloration. When Burned this sap starts to leech out from the wood giving the appearance of blood flowing from the wooden object.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Bloodbark Lumber is stronger than most wood and some metals, the planks have a slight shine to them. It is flammable but not unusually so, and the Wood itself is quite flexible.
