Structure

The World League of Blood Sports, also known as the World League Network or simply as the "World League", is a conglomeration of registered men and women who participate in "Blood Sports", a collection of Dueling events sponsored by individual Leagues. The Duelist's World League is the largest of the Duelist's Leagues, having competitors from all around the World registered to participate in Blood Sports. Every Duelist from every League is also registered to compete in World Blood Sports Events.

The President of the World League of Blood Sports is the one who promotes events, provides funding for various activities (such as building new Arenas, equipment costs, etc.), and acts as the voice of the League. The President is attended by the Vice President and Chairman of the Board. The Duelist's World League enjoys the funding and support of several nations as many investors are also government officials or senators of their respective countries.

There is an Administrative branch, which handles tasks and management of the World League's resources. Different departments, such as Registrations, Marketing, Records, Research & Development, Accounting, and Constructions maintains the public face and resources of the World League. As a vertically integrated League, plans and orders are given from the top- down, to each department. A Head of Department is attended by Supervisors who over-see the work of small teams. At the bottom of the organization structure are the task management positions, which maintains the grounds or the World League and its many Arenas.
There are also Staff members who collect and register new Duelists, provide the testing and equipment required to become a Duelist, perform recruiting or scouting tasks, provide services at events (such as ticket sales), and generally be available to help patrons or Duelists when events occur.

Arbitters, Ring Masters, and Sponsors are also registered with any of the Leagues. There are also trained medical professionals and Restomancers who are often retained for Blood Sports events. In addition, enchanters and Alchemists are highly prized by the organization, as they are able to maintain the World League's magical items and equipment.

The World League Network is the broadcasting department of the organization. Duels are recorded and broadcasted using several different tools, including the Duelist's Proof, which records Duels as a part of its function. This arm of the organization is concerned with popularizing events and providing transparency with the public. As a popular program, the WLN regularly interacts with its fan base, giving offers and discounts for new events and covering all the news and updates of the World League.

Culture

Members of the World League of Blood Sports are expected to act professionally in all circumstances. Whether it is a Staff member or a Duelist, each member of the World League is held to a standard of acceptable behavior. As such, Staff provide services with excellent, kind demeanors, making them incredibly helpful at all levels of the organization. Members can be terminated for acting outside the code of ethics established by the World League. The organization maintains a healthy level of respect for members of all stations and departments, but the code of honor established in Duels carries itself through the organization's operations.

As it relates to the public, many Blood Sports events have their own followings. People pick their favorite Duelists or events and arrange bets. For example, Brawling is a popular form of Dueling that only allows for hand to hand combat. The fans of these events enjoy the debate, the tension between each other and the rival Duelists, and the anticipation of the victory. Respect is given to the victor; it is seen as bad sportsmanship on behalf of losers that can't acknowledge the winner's achievement, even among the fan base.

The World League profits from sponsoring bets within the Arenas (where gambling is legal).

Public Agenda

The face of the World League is held by the World League Network, which publicizes and covers Blood Sports events. Interviews, highlights, and reruns of events keeps the World League constantly in the eyes of the public. When a Duelist or Staff member begins acting outside of the code of ethics regulated by the World League, they may be terminated and unable to participate in Blood Sports events in the future. This is to maintain the integrity of the World League's public agenda. The World League is committed to fair standards of Dueling while also presenting them to the world in new and entertaining ways.

Technological Level

The World League of Blood Sports has its own channel: the WLN (World League Network). Coverage of Blood Sports events, updates and news, and Duelist statistics are all discussed through the WLN. Those who subscribe to the WLN receive special offers and price reductions on event tickets. The WLN is quite popular as a news media outlet, trusted for the variety of Ring Master personalities that announce at these events. Sometimes the Ring Master is just as popular as the Duelists.

Foreign Relations

The World League of Blood Sports is affiliated with nations from around the world. The World League has been a place to settle many differences between countries before those countries resorted to War. Many conflicts have been diverted as a result of trial by Blood Sports. Most nations of the World has a registered Duelist that is considered the Exemplar- an ambassador of the nation that regularly competes in Blood Sports events. Each registered Nation has one Exemplar who serves the country's military and participates as a representative in World League events.

Laws

Duelists aren't allowed to take place in sanctioned events without their Duelist's Proof, an item held and required by any Duelist who wishes to take place in legal Duels. Duelists can arrange Honorless Duels (those with non-registered Duelists) as the tradition of Dueling is protected in most countries. As long as the Duel is held honorably, the Duelist won't be audited by the World League of Blood Sports. A large number of Honorless Duels may catch the attention of Auditors, which can affect the reputation of the Duelist. A Duelist is held in a higher regard than other Citizens, when it comes to acts of violence that could harm a League's reputation.

The conditions outlined in the Arbitration must be upheld and the conditions of victory placed upon the Duelist's must also be upheld. Those who dishonor the Duel, either through cheating, misrepresenting the World League, or ignoring the conditions of the victor, receive the consequences in the form of Honor penalites or at worse, termination of a Duelist's registry. The Arbitter who oversees an event is often responsible for communicating between the Duelist, Sponsors, and the League to this regard.

Infrastructure

A World League of Blood Sports Arena is moderately sized, usually a circle or square area with enough room for 2 or more Duelists to compete. The Arena can either be a pit or a platform with seats, bleachers, or rows for spectators. A single Arena is usually a small area with enough room for fighters and crowds.

A Stadium is much larger, able to hold multiple events at once. These coliseums are built with 2 or more Arenas, which can feature levels of elevation or other complicated terrain features. Stadiums are equipped with spotlights, sound systems, seating and vendors, and other amenities to provide comfortable viewing experiences. Stadiums are reserved for large events, with the World League of Blood Sports as the majority owner of stadiums around the world. Not only used for Blood Sports, these stadiums also open for other sporting events as well.

Ethics

Duelists registered with the World League are expected to act as representatives of the World League by acting honorably in all situations. The lives of popular Duelists often becomes the subject of public affair, which reflects on the ethics of the Duelist as well as the World League. Those who act unfavorably, such as those found soliciting criminal activities or participating in dishonorable acts, are typically terminated from the World League and a record kept which states when and if they can register in the future. While most Duelist's Leagues may not be as strict, there is a strong code of honor to be upheld when one accepts the title of World League Duelist. Taking place in too many unsanctioned, honorless Duels, members found of criminal affiliation, cheating within a Duel, or using their resources as a League Duelist to promote specific wars, are all grounds for termination from the World League or any other League.
