A WAIV/ Console appears in various sizes and shapes; from the sleek, portable designs that fold to the home system, a WAIV/ Console offers the best in WAIV technology.

Able to meet the needs of any modern family, the WAIV/ Console has all of the capabilities of the WAIV/COMM while also providing a similar quality in picture as a WAIV/ Caster.

The WAIV/ Console has a long duration, able to withstand 8 hours of consistent use before needing a 2 hour recharge, or "Rest". If it has charged for 1 hour, then it has restored 50 % of its lifespan.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The original COMMs models are still sold for many people's convenience. It has limited streaming features and no social media interfaces. The COMMs suffer from earlier generations' issue of audio and visual reductions. 80-90% effective; crackling sounds and distortions often limit overall quality.

Newer model home console systems are fully designed to integrate with all attuned WAIV devices.

The device has a monitor, which can usually be folded into a labtop (depending upon specifications), or it can be mounted to a wall. A full range glyph board allows for dexterous typing and easier command inputs when using the Console for programming purposes. There are three different types of WAIV/ Consoles: standard, performance, and hybrid.

Standard
This model features all the advanced designs of the WAIV/ COMMs, with a few touch-of-life improvements. It has a larger screen and surface area, able to accomodate a clearer picture than smaller devices. Typically, if a keyboard isn't presented, it may be a PADD model- a WAIV device that uses a full touch- screen interface. These devices can send and receive calls, stream movies or videos, and provide similar functions.
Performance
The Performance WAIV/ Console is similar to the advanced WAIV/ COMMs, providing all of the same benefits. In addition, it has higher processing speeds and lower reserves drainages. Developers and gamers prefer the Performance models, which are able to handle their computational inputs. WAIV/ Consoles often have remote controls, which can be used for WAIVRS.
Hybrid
Hybrids merge the qualities of more specialized models, such as the Caster, Shaper, or all- three, to create the most expensive performance machine. These models are the top-of-the-line premium packages. Combining the best qualities of the other WAIV devices, mixed with intuitive compatabilities, makes this a powerful device.

History

The WAIV/ Console was originally a transmitter to receive broadcasts from WAIV/ Casters. It could receive sound and audio, but it didn't have the capabilities of COMMs to send messages. Eventually, as the technology progressed and integrated, the WAIV/ Console was able to deliver better quality picture and adapt to the demands of the WAIV/ COMMs market. They wanted a better device for their in-home entertainment systems.

WAIV/ Consoles became popular amongst developers of games, as the light construction technology of advanced transmitters allowed for innovative graphics by clever and resourcesful designers. As the IV and V WAIV/ Consoles emerged, it became an art form.

Significance

The WAIV/ Console inevitably revolutionized the home entertainments system by replacing its descendant, the COMM. People were thrilled to stream their favorite movies or shows. As the technology peaked, the epitome of the WAIV technology experience is the WAIV/ Console-Caster- a compact 2-in-one that finally merged the exemplary qualities of its precessors. These are expensive models, usually starting at 50K C$0.

The advancement of WAIV/ Consoles led to the development of "WAIVRs" or VRs, as they've come to be known. WAIVRS stands for "World Algorithmic Integrated Virtual Reality System", which allows for the development of entire structures and landscapes, characters and objects, inside of virtual worlds. Developers create puzzles, quests, and challenges for players to overcome in single player or multiple player formats.

Whole sub-cultures of WAIVR games arose, creating an industry for WAIVR games. Either companies or "indies" ambitious dreams are to sell modern WAIVRs.
