Rosepass

Defences

They have guards that patrol the Hills for passer-by's. Anyone passing through the Hills has to pay a fee, unless they have a Rose Pass, which is a card issued by Rosepass to relatives, friends, and civilians that gives them a free pass through. The price of such a Pass depends on who you are (eg: inhabitants of Rosepass pay very little, whereas traders pay more.

Industry & Trade

The trade and sell a type of tree sap with and to Cetrary. Sapping it from the trees is a big industry in Rosepass. They also trade and sell roses around the kingdom, which they get from their very own hills. They also have some mixed farmers around, who graze their cattle and plant their crops in the Rose Hills. Clay extraction, fishing and minign minerals in the hills are all examples of primary industry found in Rosepass.

History

Rosepass was officially deemed an Arburgian settlement in 60. Two years before, a group of people fed up with the Asmyan lifestyle left Asmye for other lands. They were the first to settle in the hills, and they named them the Rose Hills in 58. In 62, they also named the main tributary of the Dragonfly Canal after them: Rosebridge Canal. Rosepass has always been protective over "their" river and hills. They have guards that patrol the hills for passing travelers, which have to pay a fee to Rosepass if they wish to continue their journey through the hills. The people of Rosepass are generally peacuful and friendly, and the only time you will find them in a fight or argument is when there is an issue concerning Rosebridge Canal or the Rose Hills.

Geography

Towards the South and East, they are surrounded by the Rose Hills, and to the North and West, the Rosebridge Canal flows past.

Natural Resources

It gets clay, herbs, plants and roses from the Hills nearby. Fish and other fluvial creatures can be ffound in the Canal. They are also big Sappers, which means they extract a certain type of tree sap and sell it to Cetrary, where it is then used to produce Cetrobur.
